Love the new shoulder pads – more cushion and more narrow. I wish the roll top side clips had more length and could be adjustable so if you had more stuff it could still be clipped to the sides instead of just on top. I miss the two zippered pockets in the front. I love that the old Velcro for the laptop compartment is now a clip. Overall still love this bag. Multi use and big enough for longer travel.

Great product! It’s a little larger than an average day pack and holds more than you’d think by looking at it. Tons of pockets, big, small and stealthy. I use it for work every day and my laptop fits snugly in the sheath. I can carry a couple of changes of clothing along with toiletries and even extra shoes if I’m traveling. If you think you’ve lost something in the cavernous main pocket, no worries. There’s a zipper entrance on the lower rear section giving access to the harder to reach places. I’ve gotten several compliments on my Mobius 35L, and I always recommend it.

Very nicely designed and good for both work and traveling. Not intended for more intense hiking trips but it’ll do well for a day trip. The fold and clip style main opening feels a bit inconvenient and I don’t use the zippered opening by the straps much so it is not the most convenient in that regard. The fact that it is made from environmentally friendly materials is a big plus for me though.

I love this backpack! I was looking for something that could carry enough stuff for a weekend trip and this works great. I was able to fit a pair of boots, several outfits, toiletries bag, laptop, and electronic accessories without a problem. I enjoy that you can stuff it full by looping the top, or use the buckles and straps to make it smaller. The laptop pouch is awesome, there are lots of pockets in the front compartment to organize all your valuables, and the water bottle pocket is a nice touch for travel. Love the look of it and the extra padding on the back makes it fairly comfortable. Best part is how sustainable every material and fabric is. Highly recommend!

I got this to use it for school and the occasional travel and hike. It is the perfect size for me and I haven’t had any problems except for the straps on the bottom getting scratched. I do have to pack up a little bit early during class due to the way the top closes, but it doesn’t take that long if I was in a hurry. I would definitely recommend this backpack.

I was absolutely blown away upon receiving this backpack! Pictures do not do enough justice for the amount of durability, versatility, and beauty this backpack has. I love that it is made from 100% recycled materials as well. It is wonderful to use whenever I travel or go on a day trip somewhere. The tentree water bottle fits nicely on the side. 10/10 would highly recommend!

I recently went to the mountains and this bag was a must have on our trip! I was able to navigate some fairly difficult hikes while carrying this comfortably. It fit everything I needed and there was still more room. We’re trying to be more eco-conscious, so the fact that this is made from recycled materials is amazing. I highly recommend this bag! As others have said, I wish the packaging would have been more earth-friendly. It came in plastic, would have been fantastic to have it recyclable packaging.

Okay I absolutely LOVE this backpack. I got it during my senior year of high school and was going to wait until college to start using it, but when it came in the mail I was so excited I just couldn’t wait! This is perfect for school and for traveling, especially since you can size it according to your liking. It fits everything I need without being super bulky like other backpacks I’ve tried. Even when it’s filled to the brim, it’s still compact and small enough to serve as a carry-on when flying. I used this bag when I decided to move overseas and knew I wanted a bag I could take with me on weekend trips, camping, or just for school. The back-zipper is KEY, makes accessing the main area so much easier for any purpose (TSA, grabbing laptop, or if there are lots of things stuffed on top). I love that it was made with recycled plastic, and algae? What a crazy cool concept. Super happy with the bag. It also fits my huge water bottle which is insanely helpful. The bag is a little heavy on its own, but I also have it stuffed all the way full so I hardly notice the backpacks weight itself 🙂

I literally just received my Mobius backpack, and although I haven’t had time to properly test it out yet, I can already say that I am absolutely in love with it. Spacious, with lots of pockets to store your goods, a beautiful eco-friendly design… And a genius built-in whistle! Before buying this product I have seen and read many reviews from other customers, and I find myself to agree with them when describing the top handle as uncomfortable to hold, especially if the bag is heavy. This said, I don’t perceive this as a major fault, as the bag is designed to be carried on the shoulders rather than by hand anyway. The only downside I have encountered so far is the zips. They are a bit stiff, and I am a bit concerned I will break them if I don’t open them carefully. But this might only be due to the fact that they are brand new, perhaps they will loosen up with time. Delivery (UK) was insanely fast: I purchased the item on Monday afternoon and received it on Wednesday morning. Brilliant! Last but not least, I am over the moon about the idea that 10 trees will be planted in Madagascar thanks to my purchase.

I’ve traveled three times with this bag since getting it as a Christmas gift and it is the BEST travel bag. I love the number of pockets and ways to access items in the main part of the bag. It has the roll-up top but also able to get to my laptop and the rest of the main pocket without unrolling (unzip from very back). It has a nice pocket on the side to secure a water bottle. There’s a pocket on the side (that I forgot was there for months and thought I’d lost something I had packed there) good for sunglasses. The front pocket has two zipper pockets within it and two more pockets as well. The straps clasp together if you want and on my most recent travels I found the whistle! It’s also a very pretty bag (I have the meteorite black juniper). So far, no complaints and everything works beautifully. (So far haven’t had it for a year yet, but will update star and quality ratings if needed.)

I received the backpack a couple of weeks ago and I am so impressed with how well thought out the design is. There are so many different ways to access the pack with various zippers. For example, you don’t even need to unclip the top opening, you can utilize the zippers on the very back of the pack to quickly grab something. I also really like how you can use the backpack as a smaller pack or if you are traveling you can easily fit more items in it to use as a carryon for a flight. The backpack is also extremely light by itself. Lastly, I love their commitment to reducing waste and using recyclable materials. They include a little book with your purchase that details every aspect of how the bag you purchased is made. All that to say, I am glad I made the purchase and recommend it to anyone!

Tentree change the game with this one in my opinion. I like the lay out of the backpack that lets you load it through the zippers that access the backside of it or from the opening at the top, really makes for easy access. The shoulder straps are sturdy and don’t dig into my shoulders the way my north face back would. Only thing I didn’t really like was the the chest straps that clip that back in are not fixed into place and are loose which make them very easy to lose.

I’ve been using this backpack for 2 weeks now and I am very happy with two things in particular: – the versatility with capacity. Fold it all the way down for smaller capacity, roll it back for medium or all the way up for high capacity. This bag holds a lot! – it is super easy to access the laptop and front pocket even when fully loaded up. I researched a lot of roll top bags and most require you to open the entire bag to get to the laptop.

I absolutely love my backpack. I waited a couple weeks to write a review because I wanted to give it an honest trial, but I am so happy I decided to buy this bag. It is so versatile with the variable sizing option, and feels high quality and like it will last a long time. I use it as my daily commute bag, and it can fit all of my small items like chargers, glasses, lotion, and other daily items as well as my whole lunch, my indoor shoes (I live in Alaska and wear boots outside in the winter), laptop, kindle, wallet, hat, gloves, and more. I love that I can also carry it With way less in it and that it works just as well and looks just as good. One of my favorite features is the ability to open the bag either from the top or the back, making it super easy to access my items in a hurry (will work great at airports!) I would not want to use this bag for extended carry, such as a long hike when it is filled up, because the padding isn’t quite as soft as normal padding (but I LOVE the eco friendly aspects). Fantastic product that is worth every penny and that is a much better choice for the earth!

I honestly don’t think there has been a day since I first got the Mobius in March that I haven’t used it. I take it everywhere: to class, to work, out with friends, on vacation etc. etc. etc. It always seems to have just the right amount of storage too: I’ve never felt like it was too full (the expandable top is great for vacations, but I use it in its compact size the vast majority of the time because I think there is plenty of room already.) It looks amazing (I have the all black one) and I get complimented on it everywhere. I love explaining how the entire bag is completely recycled and that 10 trees have been planted because of it. Mobius is also super comfortable. I can load it full of textbooks and be fine for the whole day. I love the durability, I feel like I can take it anywhere without worrying about it getting dirty or ripping. I’ve also been caught in the rain with it a few times and while its not completely waterproof, it has kept my things dry in some pretty heavy downpours. This is a true every day and anything bag. (I would say that if you are strictly looking for a hiking bag, go for something lighter because Mobius does have a little weight too it, but get this anyway for everyday life because you are going to love it)

Love my backpack! The Juniper trees/Aurora Borealis design looks great! Glad I purchased it immediately when the Kickstarter campaign was launched.. definitely worth the purchase, and price to Australia (where you too often find the same boring brand-copying/designs, with excessive RRP markup % for their quality/or lack there of). This bag is fantastic quality, can’t fault it really!! I initially purchased it to use as a day-hiking bag, however it’s still a little large for me (I have a small torso/long legs, hahaa.. so in it’s smallest rolled size it still sits at the back of my head), but after receiving it I decided to use it as a travel/carry on flight bag instead, which was perfect size and comfortable walking around the airport with. It fits so much in it, I still didn’t manage to get it to its fullest capacity. I love that it has a suitcase like function for the entire back too; easy flat-lay access to your gear and helpful to not have to pull anything out in front of people (or if hiking/on the ground). Two thumbs up, as always!! Love ALL my tentree items purchased over the years. Have never been disappointed.. they’re truly worth their price tag, and then some.

I have found this backpack to be extremely useful, and I take it everywhere. It is very comfortable and the chest strap works well for long hikes. I like the side straps and use them for many things such as reusable water bottles, speakers, towels, etc. Additionally, the zipper pocket on the back of the bag successfully allows easy access to your laptop. Finally, the multiple ways of closing the backpack (side buckle or top buckle) give me freedom to expand or shrink the bag to fit my storage needs. Overall, great backpack, even without the incredible environmental benefits.

Everything about this bag is great – it’s stylish, the design is so well thought out, and it’s great for the environment. Heavy loads are super comfortable – the straps are contoured and wide. There’s also a spot for everything, I particularly like the side pockets. The back zipper makes accessing the main compartment easy, and it’s a double zipper so you can feed tubing through if using the computer sleeve as a hydration pouch. Only recommendations would be the addition of a gear loop or two on the front (for bike lights, helmet, etc) and an optional hip strap for added stability since you can really load up this bag.

I absolutely love my new Mobius bag, especially the fact that its made from recycled materials. The bag is large and the roll-top make it easy to adapt to your packing needs. There are great storage compartments on the side and in the front pouch. It seems pretty durable, but I would have liked to see a larger, more substantial handle at the top. Now I just need to decide if I should keep it looking sharp and solid black or go crazy with some patches 🙂

I’ve been searching for the perfect bag for traveling for years. I’ve owned so many different duffel bags, backpacks, and daypacks that it’s sad. I’m super organized and with the combination of the Mobius backpack and the packing cubes, it’s like organization nirvana. I just took this backpack as one of two small carry-ons for a week of travel in Europe… the pockets are perfect for keeping things organized, the back “clam shell” zipper makes access to the depths easy and the expandable top is wonderful. It does fit under an airplane seat, although not easily. The only suggestion I would make is a band across the back so it can slip over a wheeled bag handle to rest tired shoulders, but overall this is my favorite travel bag yet!

I really like it as an everyday backpack. The chest strap and shoulder padding make it comfortable and it easily holds the various books and groceries I need space for. The roll top wasn’t a thing I’d tried before but it handles well. The front pocket has staggered zipper pockets so you don’t get that *** of stuff at the bottom of a main pocket. I received this bag a couple of weeks ago and it has been my primary carry-all ever since. It’s perfect for everyday use. You can start your day with just the essentials and if you need more room for a jacket you shed or some unexpected shopping, this bag can accommodate you. Navigating through busy streets, squeezing through narrow aisles in stores and in crowded public transportation with high capacity backpacks (30+ liters) can be awkward with your bag snagging on corners and bumping into other people. But even when it’s fully expanded, the Mobius’ streamline design keeps everything close to your body so you’re not smacking into everything and everyone around you. And no matter how you’re carrying it, there’s an easy way to get to your stuff. Another great overlooked detail is that it can stand on its own. A lot of newer backpacks have rounded bottoms that make it impossible to stand them upright on the ground or a flat surface. It’s a small convenience that you didn’t know you needed, trust me, it’s nice to have a backpack that can stand upright without having to lean it on anything. It also has a lot of practical space. The Mobius isn’t an awkward shape where you’re trying to figure out how to fit stuff into it. A lot of bags have a great aesthetic look but the main compartment or the external pockets can barely hold anything because of it’s odd shape, then your 27L-30L backpack ends up being more like 23L-25L. But the Mobius has a classic silhouette that doesn’t sacrifice space. The clean minimalist look goes with every outfit and occasion during your regular week. Whether it’s at capacity or just filled with the essentials it’s comfy on your back. The straps are wide enough but not overly padded where you feel like you’re carrying more bag than cargo. And the overall padding makes the bag feel protected without the extra bulk and stiffness. I totally recommend the Mobius for daily commute and travel. It’s not bogged down by a busy design or over wrought features and it just about covers all your bases for everyday use.

Great backpack, very usable and seems quite durable. I intend to use to for a lot of my travels. It is very comfortable even with larger loads. With a few adjustments it could be the best backpack ever (See below). Plus walking down the street with it and holding my reusable bamboo coffee cop I can just feel so much better than anybody else lol. ( Here are my notes if anybody cares: The main compartment could use some pockets or mesh for more organisation. The side pockets and water bottle holders could be on both sides. Also the compression straps limit the access to these but the top ones on each side are buckled and are easily undone, which helps. I love that there is so many ways to close the rolltop, but I usually just stick to buckling it to itself even when I am only using it at about 16L. Also, since all the buckles can connect to each other you can get creative. Sometimes I buckle the rolltop into the top compression straps for a better shape. ( I wish the compression strap buckle was switched on one side though, so I could buckle the rolltop into the same side, but that’s just perfectionism talking. ) Maybe a secret pocket could be added for fun 🙂 And finally, I am a big fan of bottom straps, but I am not sure if they would suit every usage (especially as an EDC) of this backpack, so maybe optional, removable buckled ones would be phantastique, or just tiny hooks to attach third party straps. )

I just began using the pack and I love the attention to detail in making the straps versatile with flexible litreage and a variety of pocket spaces that fon’t get in the way. The design is elegant and simple. The straps are wider, which make them not dig into your shoulders and the support on the back is very comfortable even with my laptop. This pack is useful for a hike, but also for my professional commute. The best part is triple zipper easy access point. I would suggest a lock on that feature if you are worried about pickpockets in crowded spaces. Seems very water resistant but I haven’t put it to the test. The zippers don’t seem as robust as other packs I’ve owned, but I haven’t ha the opportunity to see wear and tear yet. Nevertheless, I have faith in Tentree in terms of quality. Joey Pringle’s profile and experience show that he thinks of every detail in the design.

Amazing job tentree! Purchased this item through Kickstarter and it definitely did not disappoint. The campaign was accurate, with no delays, and tentree was active with their support. Although I had to pay about $30 for duties in Canada (was expecting it because of how campaigns usually end up), the shipping was fast and the product was packed in a good box. The bag itself is amazing quality. The look and feel is modern and top-notch. My personal highlights of the bag are: the quality, the depth, the 2 pockets with zippers in the front, the comfortability, and adaptability. The whistle on the chest support clasp was an added bonus and shows how much thought went into this bag. I appreciate that the bag is not too bulky, and stays slim no matter how much you put in it. The side pocket was also a nice touch, with good depth for storage. My 13 inch laptop fits well, even with a case. The accessibility through the back is also good. Some comments: While having big pockets in the front is good, I would’ve liked to seen a space dedicated towards keeping pens and other stationary. The handheld strap is a little on the thinner side, not sure how it will hold up when the contents are heavier. I haven’t had a problem with breathability because the weather isn’t too hot outside yet, which will be reviewed further as summer approaches. Overall, awesome product, looking forward to other products from tentree. I regret not buying the packing cubes for that price when I had the chance. Glad to support a company that reduces their carbon footprint and believes in sustainability. Good job tentree!

For years I’ve been looking for something that will hold my laptop and gym clothes, plus hold enough for a weekend getaway, plus can carry a yoga mat AND works as a carry-on. I’ve always had to compromise and sacrifice one or more of these things, using multiple bags and switching things back-and-forth for different types and lengths of trips. NO MORE! I love that this bag can hold the everyday things I need for work and the gym in a more compact form, but then expand for a weekend trip without over-stuffing. I’m still getting used to the various ways you have to get to stuff and figuring out where I can put everything, but the key is that it actually does hold everything. Even when it feels heavy to pick up, the weight seems to disappear once I’ve got it over my shoulders! The material feels sturdy and I love knowing that it’s environmentally friendly on top of everything else. A couple of minor things that would make this bag even better… wider base so that it doesn’t fall over when filled to the top, ability to buckle ALL the side straps (one set on each side can’t be undone so I can only get one strap around my yoga mat) some kind of snap or buckle to keep the main opening together when the bag is more full (a couple of times, I’ve noticed after carrying it that even though it’s buckled down, the top is pulled open somewhat). Overall, great job tentree!

I am currently using this pack for a 6-day (non-camping) trip. I’m a very light packer, but I was able to fit everything I need in here. It’s super comfortable to carry, and it feels much lighter than the duffels I’ve used in the past. It would have been the perfect size to carry on, but because of some shoulder issues, I checked it. The only problem with checking it was that the top came slightly open by the time I picked it up at baggage claim (though I’m sure that will be resolved just by rolling the top an extra time. Converting between sizes takes a little bit of getting used to, but I love that versatility and the opportunity to use this bag on a regular basis with a wide range of uses. The only change I would make is that I wish the top zipped shut before you rolled and clipped it (due to the issue noted above with checking it). Overall, this is a fantastic product, and I’m so glad I backed it!

This backpack is really amazing, it arrived just in time for me to use it on my trip to Hawaii. All the pockets and clips came in handy for travel, and I am happy to know how eco friendly it is. I didn’t have any issues using it as a carry-on for the plane either. Would highly recommend!

I got my backpack today and as I expected, it’s great! The Mobius has got wide carrying stripes which makes it super nice to wear. The backpack is really large as well, so I can use it for work, travel and all the stuff I need a backpack for! I won’t say a lot about the manufacturing – I really like the idea and the way the Mobius was produced! I was one of the first backers on kickstarter and all I can say is I’d do it again!

This bag has replaced two bags–my daily messenger bag and my weekender 38L backpack. It stays comfortably tight to my back in its smallest mode, and I enjoy the way it opens from the back with multiple zippers. The front pocket has several compartments to keep you organized. And the fact that it’s made of all recycled materials makes me feel great every time I pick it up.

The build and comfort is exceptional. Not a loose thread to be found. Better than advertised! Only issue is the chest strap is WAYYY too short. I’m 5’11” and 200lbs and the strap doesn’t come close to clipping in without pulling the shoulder straps inward and uncomfortable. So if you have wider shoulders or a larger chest, you will have to rig your own strap or go without.

Looks like there is plenty of space and even when full will be comfortable to carry. Love the picture panel on the front pocket! Also like that you can access interior from front or back – very handy.

The backpack is gorgeous. I received this beautiful backpack the day before we left for Iceland. I didn’t take the backpack on the trip but definitely used the cubes. Absolutely LOVE THEM! I can’t believe how much I could fit into them. I’ve planned another trip later this year and hope to travel using just the backpack and cubes. I can’t wait to see how much stuff I can efficiently fit into it.

The Mobius is a really versatile backpack. My husband uses his for work with his big computer and all the gear he carries around as a sysadmin. I use mine for the gateway weekends and can put a lot of stuff in it (currently : 2 days of winter clothes, toiletry and a plaid!). One thing is missing for my use : a key holder in the front pocket would have been perfect! One of my favorite Kickstarter project 🙂

I haven’t had a chance to use it while traveling yet but I love every feature it has! I especially love the four zippers on the back, it makes it so much easier to reach inside the backpack. It is able to hold a lot but it doesn’t look huge either. I would definitely recommend!

I love love love this bag! The sleeve for the laptop in the back is such a great idea – I don’t have to take anything out when I go to the airport – but can still slide my laptop in and out easily. I had the excitement of purchasing the Mobius backpack on Kickstarter. I fell in love with it the first time I got to read about it. Not only is make from 100% recyleced materials BUT it amazing in every way a backpack should be. I’ve been using when I go to work and when I travel hours to my boyfriends house several times a week. There is room for my 32oz Hydro Flasks, which is sometimes hard to find in a backpack.
